One paragraph
Bourbiza Mohamed is an independent artist, songwriter and producer whose work moves between country, Americana, soul and blues. In 2024 he founded BM Country Music, the London-based independent label that releases his catalogue worldwide. His songs are built around story rather than formula: borders and dignity, memory and distance, the things people carry with them.
Born in Casablanca and now working between the United Kingdom and Italy, Bourbiza Mohamed came to songwriting from a life spent moving across borders. That biography shapes the material. Justice Don’t Need a Passport takes the language of the road and turns it into a question about who is allowed to be treated fairly and where. The Summer Rain Knew works in the opposite direction, inward, built on memory and atmosphere rather than argument.
The sound sits in country and Americana but does not stay there: acoustic guitar and western phrasing meet soul phrasing and blues weight, with production that leaves space around the voice. He writes and records in English, and speaks Arabic, French and Italian — a range that shows up less in the lyrics than in the way the songs treat distance as normal rather than exotic.
All releases are issued through BM Country Music and distributed to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, Audiomack, Shazam, Boomplay and YouTube.
